In the streets of Teshie, Accra, young talent was everywhere — kids playing barefoot on concrete, controlling a ball with instinctive skill, with the fire to compete. But they had nowhere to go. No structure. No pathway. No one watching.
We built one. Teshie United FC started with nothing but belief: that talent exists everywhere, but opportunity doesn't. That football could be more than a game — it could be a vehicle.
Today, 36 young players train daily. They go to school (mandatory). They play matches (competitive). They serve their community (required). This isn't a club that plays football — it's a club that builds people through football.
Football + education + community service = transformation. Every player who touches the ball here is one step closer to something bigger — whether that's a professional career, a scholarship, or simply a path forward.
The Viva Praesentia Connection
Teshie United is the origin of Viva Praesentia. The story, the community, the players — they're the reason we exist. Every tournament we run, every system we build, every opportunity we create — it's rooted in the belief that started here: that grassroots talent deserves to be seen.
