The Place
Teshie. Where it starts.
Teshie is a coastal township on the east edge of Accra — tight streets, open sky, and football everywhere. Kids play barefoot between buildings, on the beach, on any patch of dirt that holds a goal.
In 2012, a group of retired footballers and administrators looked at all that raw talent going unseen and built something for it. No federation money. No facilities handed down. Just a promise to find the kids who could play — and give them a real shot.
That promise became Teshie Football Academy. It is the emotional origin of Viva Praesentia: proof of what grassroots football means when it isn't sanitized for anyone.
